Mobbu’s Mobile Field Operations (MFO) Covert Policing is a real-time briefing pack and text/image messaging platform for mobile phones and Command and Control centres. It has offline, permanent data archiving and remote device management capabilities. It runs on BlackBerry (CESG-approved for Restricted data) and is discreet in use.
MFO Covert Policing product description
For field users:
- Runs on all BlackBerry devices that are assured by CESG (and we aim to run on all current BlackBerry devices).
- Remote management including delete data/kill device
Briefing pack
- Live updates to/from field, to whole team or to individual
- Take photos and send back to Command and Control
- Message filtering by briefing pack, newest/all messages
- Security: 5-digit PIN for login, session management, AES256 encryption (or on a consultancy basis can integrated with with either BlackBerry Smartcard readers and/or bespoke access security)
- Continues to work offline, queuing updates for automatic sending when connection returns
- Planned future functionality:
- map views, eg team location, crime activity heatmaps
- Bookmark/999 button
For Command and Control users:
- Briefing pack content creation via a template interface or the standard message creation interface.
- Live message creation and updates of text, images, and other data to/from field, to whole team or to individual, including re-broadcasting updates
- Message filtering by briefing pack, importance, newest/all messages
- Operation management including archived operations
- User and team management
- Security: username and password for login, session management
- Metadata: sender, time updated, current location, update sent/queued…
- Planned future functionality:
- map views, eg team location, crime activity heatmaps
- reporting views
- force tracking
- APIs for criminal intelligence and 3rd party systems
- content and access management by security level
Other:
- Technology and system integration, custom integration to other applications, data sources and back-end systems are available on a consultancy basis
- Upgrade roadmap: new product versions every 6 months, provided free under the Product Licence.
- Pricing: A Product Licence charged on 6-month, 12-month or 36-month basis.
- Free support and maintenance (see separate document) if running the most recent version and a standard deployment.
- BlackBerry devices and data plans, BES server and any custom integration work costed separately.
